One of Our Three Core Principles:
Reasonable Rate of Return**
Reasonable Rate of Return** in Retirement
Earning a reasonable rate of return** on your retirement savings is a crucial goal for many retirees and pre-retirees. However, they also want to protect their income. Is it possible to do both? Fortunately, yes!
Investing in stocks, although it offers potentially high returns, comes with inherent risk. And, as you get older (and closer to retirement), you may not be comfortable with this risk. But, does this mean there aren’t any strategies you can use to earn a reasonable rate of return?** Nope! You don’t have to rely exclusively on the markets when planning for retirement. A Fixed indexed annuity (FIA), for example, may offer you both guaranteed* principal protection and a reasonable rate of return** in retirement.
Earning a Reasonable Rate of Return** in Retirement
Many people believe that their savings will only be safe in an FDIC-insured account. Or maybe, they’ll use a certificate of deposit (CD). Neither of these offers very effective rates of return, however. Additionally, you will be taxed on the interest you earn on these types of accounts. As a result, your net return may be even lower.
A reasonable rate of return** is possible, though, while still keeping your money safe. We can point you toward products that provide a reasonable rate of return** based on the performance of a stock market index, without actually risking your money in the market. Interested? Fixed Indexed Annuities
A fixed indexed annuity, or FIA, is a contract with an insurance company. An FIA does not directly invest in the stock market. Instead, the insurance company tracks the performance of an index (for example, the S&P 500). And, if the index rises above a certain level, you will receive an interest credit.
We’re dedicated to providing clients with the information they need to make educated decisions. Our goal is for the retirees and pre-retirees we work with to be able to keep their money safe, earn a reasonable rate of return,** and be confident and comfortable with their retirement strategy.
